THE HIGHS & THE LOWS

Lets talk about the highs and the lows. I'm talking about high end pieces and low end pieces. If you're like me then you have a taste for the finer things in life but definitely can't always afford that! I'm here to tell ya when to invest and when not to.

THINGS TO INVEST IN:

Bags, Boots, Sunglasses, Jeans, and Belts.

These are a must for me. I would rather put money into pieces that that are classics and won't go out of style rather than buying the cheaper knockoff version and having to repurchase it every year!

For one I'm OBSESSED with bags so its always worth it to invest in pieces, especially since I want to grow my collection. I will say however, my designer bags have all be birthday presents from my father! There's still no way I can afford those on a teacher salary!

I can wear jeans and boots all year round so for me I like to spend money on them so they last longer. I wear jeans literally all the time so its especially important because I find when I buy the $60 pair from urban outfitters I'll rip through them by next year! So recently I've been buying nicer jeans and it has really paid off. Brands like Mother Denim, Joe's, 7ForAllManKind, have all been great options for me. They're lasting longer and I'm buying jeans less. I mean of course I'm buying jeans but not out of necessity just out of want!

I love to accessorize any outfit with sunglasses and belts so this is another area I invest in. I know a ton of people who don't take care of their sunglasses and if you're that type of person PLEASE don't invest in an expensive pair! But for someone like me I am meticulous with my things and they always get put back on their shelf or back in their dust bag when not in use!

THINGS NOT TO INVEST IN:

Literally everything else!

I don't love to invest my money into other pieces like tops, shorts, sandals, and dresses. If you're like me you're trying to keep up with the trends so buying more inexpensive pieces is a better option. Places like Zara, LuLus, and Asos are good places to shop at. I also really love Revolve and Reformation but those stores are the most expensive I'll shop at.
